Trinity exams are focused on evaluating the skills and the effectiveness with which candidates can apply what they have learned. They are recognized by the education sector, universities and companies both nationally and internationally.

GESE (Graded Examinations in Spoken English)

The GESE exams evaluate speaking and listening skills and are divided into four stages with different tasks depending on the level: Grades 1-3 (Initial stage): Basic conversation and answers to simple questions. Grades 4-6 (Elementary Stage): Conversation, choice and discussion of a topic. Grades 7-9 (Intermediate stage): Conversation, discussion of a topic and an interactive task. Grades 10-12 (Advanced Stage): Conversation, discussion of a topic, an interactive task, a presentation and a listening comprehension task. For Grades 4-6, for example, candidates must have a conversation and discuss a topic of their choice, which allows them to talk about their own interests and opinions. For Grades 7-9, in addition to the conversation and the topic of debate, an interactive task is added where the candidate interacts with the examiner in a simulated situation. In Grades 10-12, candidates must perform all the above tasks and also present a topic and understand an auditory recording.

ISE (Integrated Skills in English)

The ISE exams evaluate the four language skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) and are structured into two modules: Reading & Writing Module: Includes reading comprehension tasks, text writing and grammar and vocabulary tasks. Speaking & Listening Module: It consists of a controlled conversation, an interactive task and an independent listening task. Each level of ISE has specific tasks designed to assess language skills in accordance with CEFR standards. For example, in ISE I (B1), candidates must read and write texts on everyday topics, participate in a conversation on two prepared topics and listen and answer questions about audio recordings.
